Christmas is a strange time of year.
In some way it is the atonement holiday for Christians.

When you are aboard a ship at sea there is an amazing transformation that occurs.
When the land can no longer be seen you really know, that thing you are standing on is the only thing between you and death.
The sea is the most powerful force of nature. Nothing stops the sea.
The only way to survive the sea is to be watertight. Ship shape. Don't let things linger, don't ignore life. Every drop is important. Every drop you ignore floods your bilge.
Do good work. Keep an even keel. Stop sleeping in the fanroom.

This beginning is a new one. One more descriptive than any of the others. We begin at the start. The basics are what I speak of. Not denying certain truths. Realizing attractions and repulsions. Remember, we are all magnets. To achieve linear reality is to be comfortable with your polarity. You can turn your sword into a plowshare as long as you say what you feel.

The Aught Years
Once, well maybe more than once, a clash of swords. Ideals collide. The tide ebbs and shows the hazards below. It is at these times we must strap on our armor and be ready, ready for what lies just beyond the horizon. We must fear not. We must reach out for what is ours. We must take all advantage afforded to us. Defeat is not a reality that will be accepted. This can only be justified by one thing, survival. We must survive and by sheer will create a better existance.
